There are a couple reasons for creating a custom kickpanel. The first, of course, would be customization. If you do it yourself, you can pretty much be guarenteed that nobody else has it. It's a great subtle modification that you can't just go out and buy in some store. You have to D.I.Y. and if you do it right and make it look good it will show. The second reason is for the speakers themselves. If you want to replace the stock speakers with something bigger or smaller, you could be in a bit of trouble. Drilling out around wherever the stock speaker goes might not be the best or most practical idea. The best replacement: a kickpanel.
