Modifications

My project: The 2000 Civic EX. It comes fully equipped with power everything and brags the VTEC engine under the hood, (but with SOHC, Whoopiteedoo). This Civic was bought used with 14K miles because I liked the 96-200 style, particularly the 2000. There were several characteristics the Civic had to have before purchase.

We want the car clean, no modifications, so that we can do all the handywork ourselves. A modified car always means we have something gone that we could have worked with ourselves. We want everything to our strict specifications.

Before we begin, let me make note that I am on a budget here. I can only do so much at a time with what little money I've got. If you want to see this car a screaming street racer\show stopper in less time, I would be happy to take donations.

I've created 6 stages to the evolution and modification of the Civic. Basically, I save up money over a period of a few months and go buy a few more items on the list. Instead of doing apperance mods and then working on the engine with whatever scrap money was left, I've decided to do a little of each and squeak by until the warranty runs up. The first thing to do was pick tone colors. We've settled with green and blue for the time being. Blue will mostly compose the interior and the engine and green for the tones, body and lights. Many aftermarket parts are made either Blue, Red or Yellow. Blue accompanied the dark green exterior fairly nicely and created a good, soft transition color.
